Meditation At Work
Meditation makes us more skillful in everything we do.
– Swami Muktananda
We meditate to stay centered and grounded, to increase our mental clarity, and to access our deepest insights and most creative ideas. When we meditate and cultivate presence throughout the day, our actions tend to be more skillful, for the benefit of all.
My Approach
My intention is to support leaders in learning how to meditate and cultivate presence in ways that are easeful and enjoyable.
My approach is informed by secular mindfulness approaches as well as meditation wisdom and practices from diverse traditions.
I’m partial to the Yoga traditions and practices that remind us our truest Self is being, consciousness and bliss, and that provide us with the roadmap for resting in that core of peace and contentment.
Like Sally Kempton, my Teacher and mentor for 15 years, I hold the space for experimentation and a sense of play–for embracing meditation for the love of it.

The Process
There is no one-size-fits-all in meditation. What’s important is to find what works for you, taking into consideration your temperament, preferences, belief system, and what you need at any given moment.
The process of creating an individual or group course involves an in-depth conversation (needs analysis), development of the course, and recommendations after we experiment and see what works.
The questions you ask enable me to shed light on what you’re experiencing, offer refinements to your practice, or recommend techniques that may help you deepen your practice.
Getting Started
For newcomers especially, short meditation sessions you can integrate into your busy day, are a good idea. As your meditation practice takes root, you may find yourself wanting to sit longer.
For those who do not feel ready to embrace a seated meditation practice, we draw from a huge tool kit of yoga and mindfulness practices which help you cultivate more presence and ease.
Practices include enjoying the breath, mindful walking, yoga poses that create calm in the body and mind, guided relaxation practices, mantra repetition (for those open to it), and the wisdom of Yoga which helps us work with our thoughts and transform our minds.
Follow your bliss.

Testimonials
“Alice provided me with an expert and caring orientation to meditation as well as the resources to establish and nourish my daily practice. I have found that everything clarifies and more deeply reveals itself in meditation. I couldn’t have done it without Alice, wouldn’t have known where to start, and it has made all the difference in my life.”
– Dave, Retired Bank President
Alice is an intuitive, thoughtful and inspiring instructor of Yoga…. I’m not sure if it is because of her experience dealing with high pressure situations in the corporate world, or simply her natural grace and warmth, but Alice has a wonderful gift for creating and instilling a sense of calm.”
– Liz, Former Columbia University Postdoctoral Fellow and Professor, Melbourne, Australia
